A Blessing for the Day You Feel a Little More Like Yourself
For the day something familiar stirs in you again.

May you notice the small returnings.
The wish to write a few words. The song you want to hear. The color that catches your eye. The little project that makes you think, I would like to do that.
May you recognize yourself in those ordinary wants.
May you have room to enjoy the energy that is here today—to create, to wander, to laugh, to sit with something beautiful for a while.
May a better day be allowed to be a better day.
You do not have to turn it into proof that everything is settled. You do not have to spend every good hour catching up with the hours that were hard.
May the things you choose come from desire as often as duty.
May you make something because making it brings you pleasure. May you stop to admire it. May you feel the quiet satisfaction of having left a little of yourself in the world.
And if you have been afraid to trust a moment of relief, may you receive this one gently. It belongs to you for as long as it is here.
The hard days were real. This gladness is real, too.
May today hold something you are happy to have lived.
There is room for you here—in the heaviness, and in the moments that feel lighter. The porch light is on.
With love, Casey
