There are a few reliable ways to recognize me.

Pretty paper is one. A little glitter is another. Give me a lovely page and a place to put words, and I will probably start having ideas.

Then ideas about the ideas.

I like that part of myself.

It is easy for a day to fill up with things that need handling. Appointments, decisions, the next thing on the list. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I enjoy coming across something that feels familiar in a more personal way.

A color I keep choosing. Something that makes me laugh. The little excitement of wondering what we could make next.

These are some of the details I would like you to know about me.

You probably have your own: a kind of music, a particular sense of humor, a subject you can happily talk about long after everyone else has put down their coffee.

Some preferences stay with us for years. Others arrive quietly, and we find ourselves making room for them. We can still surprise ourselves.

I like getting to know those parts of a person. The small enthusiasms. The unexpected opinions. The thing they point out because they hope someone else will enjoy it, too.

So here is one small introduction from me: I love words, pretty paper, and a little sparkle. And I am likely to have another idea before we are finished with this one.

One Quiet Question

What is one small thing that feels unmistakably like you?

Bring that part of yourself along.

The porch light is on.
