I’d love to see a world where no child grows up believing they are unworthy of love.
I know humanity will probably never be perfect, and I may never live to see such a world. But I hope future generations become a little kinder, a little wiser, and a little more willing to listen to one another than we have been.
I’d love to see fewer people carrying the weight of trauma in silence.
I’d love to see Indigenous women no longer go missing without answers.
I’d love to see people value compassion as much as success.
Maybe I won’t live long enough to witness all of those things.
But I like to believe that every act of kindness, every honest conversation, every story told with courage moves us a little closer.
I’d love to see the day when people understand that healing is not weakness.
A world where asking for help carries no shame.
A world where children are safe, elders are honored, truth is valued, and no one has to earn their worth.
I may never see that world completely.
But I hope, somewhere in the future, someone does.
And I hope they know there were people before them who were trying to build it.
