A Little Creativity, a Little Courage, and Something to Share

What are your favorite side-hustle ideas?

My favorite side-hustle ideas usually begin with words, a little creativity, and the thought, Maybe someone else needs this, too.

Creating journals. Designing printable bookmarks and quote cards. Proofreading someone’s work so their voice comes through clearly. Helping someone find the words for a letter they have been struggling to write. Those are the kinds of things that interest me.

I especially love creating something beautiful that someone can actually use—a place to set their thoughts down, a few words to keep beside their bed, or a gentle question that helps them hear themselves again.

That is part of what I am building with Voice With a Purpose. Writing, journals, poetry, and small offerings made with care. I am still learning the business side: how to price something, how to share it, and how to let people know it exists without feeling like I am waving a giant sale sign from the porch.

Apparently, creating the thing and convincing yourself to market the thing are two entirely different jobs. 😂

And yes, I would like my work to bring in income. There is nothing wrong with wanting something you have poured time and heart into to help pay the bills.

But I also want work that leaves room for being human. Something I can return to when my body needs a slower day. Something I care about enough to keep learning.

My favorite side-hustle idea? Start with something you enjoy doing, consider how it might be useful to someone else, and give yourself permission to begin small.

There is room for you here—even while you are figuring out where to begin. The porch light is on.
