If I could start a new business right now, I would open a letter-writing studio.
People would come to me with the things they have been carrying but cannot quite put into words. Maybe it is a letter to a child they miss, a tribute to someone they loved, wedding vows, an apology, or a story they want their family to remember.
I would sit with them, listen carefully, and help them write something that sounds like them. I would ask about the small details: the nickname only one person used, the ordinary afternoon they still think about, the sentence they have tried a hundred times to say.
I know how much it can matter to find the right words. I also know that sometimes the words come slowly, especially when the heart is full. I would love to make a place where people could take their time with them.
